About the role

Work tasks

As an IT Engineer (m/f/d) – Storage & Backup, you will take on a responsible role in an interdisciplinary team working with various technologies in the demanding environment of global data centers. Your tasks will include:

  • Developing and optimizing the storage landscape (On-Premises & Cloud).
  • Planning and implementing releases and updates to ensure stable operations.
  • Maintaining and optimizing SANs to ensure reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Creating automation solutions to improve efficiency.
  • Supporting backup processes and contributing to related projects.
  • Collaborating with DevOps teams as a technical expert and providing 3rd-level support.

We are looking for

  • Completed degree or training in the IT field.
  • Several years of experience in the architecture, administration, and operation of storage solutions (NetApp, Pure Storage preferred).
  • Experience with backup and snapshot technologies + solid knowledge in SAN technologies, as well as basic AWS knowledge (highly desirable).
  • Fluent English skills, both written and spoken (German optional).
  • Readiness for flexible on-call duty every 4-6 weeks.

Beneficial Qualifications:

  • Experience in scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python, JavaScript), virtualization, and in global or multi-data center environments.
