Our journey
How we got here
Three study buddies and the business section of a telephone book. Things were easier (and much harder) back in the 90's. Academic Work started out in in 1998 as a quest to find part time jobs for the three founders of Academic Work and their student friends. They opened the phone book on A and called companies until they found an opening. And off they were.
Since then, the journey has gone through several office spaces (one of them being a university boiler room), the opening in most of Sweden's largest cities, as well as Norway, Denmark, Germany, Finland and Switzerland.
In 2016 we celebrated the milestone of 100.000 candidates recruited for the perfect fit. We now have helped over 200.000 people find their next job, and operate from 14 offices in Sweden, as well as multiple offices in additional five major European markets, and we have no plans of stopping here.
